Photography

Armed with a lens and a vision, SoCal youth are challenged to show us a day in their lives while learning the basics of photography. Offered at communities in our portfolio throughout SoCal, our photography program provides a means of expression for our residents that extends beyond snapping a selfie. Students learn composition, post-production and display techniques providing a comprehensive photographic experience. Our photography programs also have a financial literacy framework built in that has raised over $900 to micro-finance entrepreneurs across the globe via Kiva.org. As a result our students’ vision extends beyond the viewfinder—it sees locally and thinks globally.
