2012 HCA Scholarship Program
The application period for the 2012 HCA Scholarship Program has closed. We are currently reviewing submissions. A list of recipients will be available during the summer of 2012.

2011 Scholarship Image
2011 HCA Scholarship Program
HCA awarded 13 applicants from the 2011 competition. Resident recipients of the Academic Scholarship include Biayna Hartouni, Diamond Orso, Jonathan Burgos, Katherine Marie Gonzales, Kenny Gamez, Shirley Wilson and Wing Ying Lam. They represent Covina Gardens, the Gardens on Garfield, Magnolia Villas, Skyline Village, the Villaggio and Villa Ramona. The final academic scholarship went to Erin Hickey, a volunteer mentor at Magnolia Villas. These scholarships shall support recipients’ education at the following colleges and universities: California Lutheran University, Mount San Antonio College, the University of California in Irvine, the University of California in Riverside, the University of California in San Diego, the University of California in Santa Barbara and the University of Phoenix.

Representing the Montecito Apts and Regent Plaza, resident recipients of the Arts Scholarship for Seniors include Demetra Briscoe, Dorothy Riggio, Gail Coviello, Harry Venghette Scott Jr. and Robert Bray. They applied for funding in the various fields of acting, art, dance and music.

2010 HCA Scholarship Program
HCA awarded 14 applicants from the 2010 competition. Resident recipients of the Academic Scholarship include Adam Van Meter, Candy Johnson, Diamond Orso, Fei Wang, Jossue Rodriguez Pena, Matthew Kim, Mayra Moreno, Wendy Ferguson and Yanet Dimas Perez. They represent the communities of Village Pointe, the Arbor at Palmdale, Cottonwood Place, Drake Manor, Magnolia Villas, Orchard Villas, the Villaggio, Villa Ramona and Village Pointe. Three additional scholarships went to HCA volunteers Andrew Gonzalez, Monineath Lim and Myesha Lim. These scholarships shall support recipients’ education at the following colleges and universities: Antelope Valley College, East Los Angeles College, University of California in Riverside, Pepperdine University, the University of Southern Nevada, Westwood College and Kaplan University.

Representing Arbor Court, resident recipients of the Arts Scholarship for Seniors include Don Seidel and Judith Ramirez. Seidel applied for funding to improve Arbor Court’s community library; Ramirez applied for piano lessons.

2009 HCA Scholarship Program
HCA awarded 12 applicants from the 2009 competition. Resident recipients include Ana Alicia Valle, Angel Rose Carbajal, Danielle Perez, Jacqueline Ramirez, Laura Franklin, Nathaniel Penalosa, Nikolay Loboda, Paula Constable and Pedro Corona. They represent the communities of Cottonwood Place, Hemet Vistas, Indio Desert Palms, Lark Ellen Villas, San Jacinto Villas and Villa Ramona. Three additional scholarships went to HCA volunteers at Linden Manor: Fitz-Gerald Diala, Nidhi Modi and Tiffany Ruiz. These scholarships shall support recipients’ education at the following colleges and universities: California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California State University in San Bernardino, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Loma Linda University, National University, Riverside Community College, Texas Tech University, the University of La Verne, the University of Phoenix and the University of California in Riverside.

2008 HCA Scholarship Program
HCA awarded 16 applicants from the 2008 competition: Alicia Valle, Angela Aquilar, Candy Johnson, Daniel Perez, Danielle Perez, Fei Wang, Josefa Baker, Kristina Tonkin, Laura Franklin, Marilyn Pryor, Nabil Elhabbassi, Nicole Romo, Patricia Gordon, Roxanne Lawrence, Shondra Toy and Tara Bacchus. They represent the communities of the Arbor at Palmdale, Dayton Meadows, Hemet Vistas, Hovley Gardens, Lark Ellen, Linden Manor, Longhorn Pavilion, the Villaggio and Villa Ramona.
